with regards to your first question, TSI is,in short, Total Skill Index. It's a numerical representation of the overall skill of a player.

as for the second question, yes.. wingbacks get full training too.. i'd like to add though that in order to fully utilise your training slots, you'd have to play 5 at the back.. that is if you're training defense of course..

If You're training defense then 3 of ur center backs will get 100% training while wingbacks only get half of it which means it's only 50% of training.

If ur coach skill was solid and ur trainees were 17 yr old..

Then, they need 7 weeks to pop up a level of skill
If they are older then + 1week to raise a skill..

Anyway, if you want full details plz refer to ur country forum....

  		no they don't.. although the higher TSI might indicate that the player is closer to popping than those with a lower one..

TSI is a complicated thing. Don't look too much into it if you're still new to the game. I'll give you one example.

Player A (17 yrs old) has weak stamina, inadequate defending, passable scoring. Other skills all at wretched.

Player B (17 years old) has weak stamina, inadequate winger, passable scoring. Other skills all at wretched.

Both their TSI are at 500. Both plays for the same club.

It's a written rule that with a solid trainer & 9 assistant coaches, a scoring trainee at 17 yrs will need 6-7 weeks to increase a level. But in this case, who will pop first? nobody knows for sure. Experienced managers can tell but i can't.

when i was a newbie, i wasted a fortune.. both time & money.. so don't make the same mistake as me..

firstly, read the guide on the hattrick main page & complete your diploma.. only then will you get all the money you're supposed to have..

let me know when you've done so.. i'll guide you thru the neccessary steps..

Newbies usually gets a team with lousy players and you need patience to fit into the game.
First of all dont spend your $ till you got your diploma.
secondly get a passable/poor coach & buy 17-19 yr old young trainee & set up your training programme.
High Tsi doesnt mean anything dont compare too much on that.
Below are 1 of my trainee for your reference he only have 700 tsi & he's a excellent scorer.

Joel Torres
TSI = 700 , 18 years, passable form
Has disastrous experience and solid leadership abilities [Head]

Stamina: poor Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: poor Passing: poor
Winger: poor Defending: wretched
Scoring: excellent Set pieces: poor

  		try to get 17-18.. i always feel 19 is too old..

anyway like richly said, get a passable trainer with poor leadership.. change to a solid trainer when you can afford it..

as for your specialists.. hmmm.. here's what i think a newbie can afford..

GK coach : 1
Asst coaches : 6
Spokesperson : 1
Physios : 1
Psychologists : 1

when you can afford it, below is what it should look like in my opinion..

GK coach : 1
Asst coaches : 9
Spokesperson : 5
Physios : 5
Psychologists : 3


well, that's a conservative figure.. i have 10 spokesperson, 10 physios and 5 psychologists.. but that's just me.. Playful


Points to note:

1) GK coach + Asst Coaches added together can never amount to more than 10..

2) don't hire doctors unless your players are injured.. and you should hire no more than 10..

3) economists are useless.. just forget about them.. same thing.. no more than 10..

4) Like doctors & economists, you should never hire more than 10 spokesperson, physios or psychologists.

5) Spokesperson helps increase sponsor mood, thus more sponsorship.. Physios help prevent injuries, Psychologists help to keep the team confidence up..


and please.. do not invest in your youth squad.. until you've got your required trainees.. until you've gotten your solid coach.. until you're making biweekly profit..

yeah.. that's abt all the preaching that i've got to do..
