A better idea will be if the threads are locked, it'll be counted as 0 thread.
Hence, TS is reverted back to 3 threads/day quota.

To overcome this, once the thread is locked, it cannot be unlocked to prevent abuse.
To lock a thread means to prevent unnecessary flame or expired thread.

  		thanks all for the suggestions. Normally this wouldn't be a problem as the normal way for posting is to consolidate your picks into one thread for the day. For rare cases like this, you can also move out your older threads to the test forum.

We have now removed the limits for Italian and Spanish forums. Will implement again if it becomes a problem.

The process of locking the threads doesn’t solve the underlying problem.
The reason for thread limitations is such that no one can post more than a number of threads in the first page so that others’ threads will be pushed to the second or third pages.

In a popular forum, if everyone posts one pick per thread on a weekend with many matches, the above scenario will happen.
