dear all,

i've read many articles regards to training for hattrick. conclusion i've got is as follows and could any bros clear my doubts ...

---- if i training defence and playing 5-4-1 ... am i to play 1 set of players for the league game and another set of players for the friendly so as to maximise the training slot ???

--- is the formation 5-4-1 good for training defence or any bros got better suggestions?

--- during match, should i use counter attack for the tactics ???

tks a million bros ...

yes, it can train maximisely for 10 trainees.....

BUT !!!!!

It was the longest period to raise a level of skill for a player

8weeks for 17yr old...

I'm losing my patience for that.....haha..... Playful

yes.. you should play 5 in the league game & 5 in the friendly..

formations are tricky.. ideally, you should be familiar with 2 formations.. for defense trainers, that will be either 5-3-2 or 5-4-1.

If possible, try to play 2 formations a week, 1 in the league game, the other in your friendly.

I don't know much about these formations but here's my 2 cents worth.

5-3-2 is more ideal for counter attacking. Counter Attacking will only be useful when you lose midfield but has a defence stronger than your opponent's attack. The idea is to let your opponent win possession then convert their missed chances to an attack of your own. To do this, your defenders must have decent passing. This formation is also useful when you are playing weaker teams that have a inferior midfield even when you are playing with only 3 middies.

5-4-1 is more for pressing. Playing 3 inner midfielders and a winger towards middle will give you a decent midfield rating. That, paired with a strong defence, will limit your opponents chances of scoring. But it's only logical to press when your opponents are far superior in midfield. By the way, 5-4-1 only works when your players has good stamina, preferably excellent. Players with 'Powerful' specialty will get their defensive contribution in the game doubled.

As you can see, training defense means a substantial loss in attacking strength. The formations & playable tactics all points towards a slow-paced, low scoring game. In other words, boring! Wink

There are ways around the maze though. One, is to invest in strong forwards. A strong defence & strong attack can be very deadly when you are counter attacking, for obvious reasons. Also, you can depend on your attacker even if you are playing 4-5-1 as he's of a quality skill level.

Second, get players with specialties. Head especially. Paired with a Set Piece expert, they'll be able to work well in set piece situation.

If i were you, i'd want to have strong attackers, a good set piece taker and have a few head specialists on the field at one time.. It'll increase your chances of scoring by a lot. And for a defense trainer, that can only mean good news..

Wink

Bro,
This was what I read from the coference whereas a guide for newbies to start up a training programme.
Hope it helps Smile

1. You need a good coach. a passable/poor will cost £53,067 (passable trainer skill, poor leadership) and solid/poor £179k. Although the solid coach seems much more expensive, its worth it in the long run, although for a new team they can be hard to afford.

2. Decide what you want to train. A good option for most new players is playmaking, since midfield is most important in Hattrick. However, some people like the flexibility of winger training, the exciting games that come with scoring training, or the boringness of defence training :P

3. Once youve decided what to train, buy some trainees. Trainees should ideally be 17 years old, but 18 and 19 are both acceptable. The chosen player needs to be passable (or if 17 y/o inadequate) in the chosen skill; it helps if they have 'secondaries' for an inner midfielder passing is useful.

4. You need to buy a set amount of trainees:
Goalkeepeing - 2
Defence - 10
Winger - 4 plus 4 wing backs (who get 50% training)
PM - 6 plus 4 wingers (who get 50% training)
Scoring - 6

5. Play each player once a week, in either the cup, league or friendly. This is the way to guarantee they get better.

6. Wait a set amount of time per pop. The times given are for a solid coach with 9 assistants for a 17 year old:
Goalkeeping - 4.5 weeks
Defending - ~8 weeks
Winger - 4.5 to 5 weeks
PM - 6.5 - 7 weeks
Scoring - 6.5 -7 weeks
